Giro d'Italia 2025 - Prediction stage 19

Friday May 30th 2025: Stage 19 - Biella - Champoluc (166km, mountain short descent)

The nineteenth stage of the Giro d’Italia 2025 is a real war of attrition for the climbers. Shortly after the start, the peloton starts the first serious climb of the day, which immediately puts the legs to the test. After a descent, a section through the valley follows, but soon the first of three tough climbs present themselves.

The riders are presented with three long and steep mountains in succession. Each climb has its own character, with steep gradients and vicious sections that can make the difference. After each descent, there is little time to recover, because the next obstacle presents itself quickly.

After this tough series of climbs, the final climb towards Antagnod follows, a climb that is especially steep at the beginning, after which it flattens out somewhat towards the top. After reaching the highest point, a short descent awaits to the finish in Champoluc, located in the heart of a well-known ski area.

This stage is made for pure climbers and classification riders. The succession of tough climbs and the limited recovery in between will undoubtedly make big differences. Whoever comes through this well will take an important step towards a nice ranking in the final classification. Attackers with good legs can strike today, while the favorites will keep a close eye on each other.
