Giro d'Italia 2025 - Prediction stage 13

Friday May 23rd 2025: Stage 13 - Rovigo - Monte Berico (180km, sprint+/ punch)

The thirteenth stage of the Giro d’Italia is scheduled for Friday 23 May, a 180-kilometre ride between Rovigo and Vicenza. The route initially takes the peloton over flat roads, with only a single climb in the first half. After this climb, the terrain remains flat for a long time, but in the second part of the stage, the riders will face a series of short, steep climbs that could determine the course of the race.

The finale takes place in and around Vicenza. Here, the peloton will face a local lap, which includes a one-kilometre climb with an average gradient of almost 9%. From there, it is another nine kilometres to the foot of the final climb.

The final climb is short but powerful: 1.1 kilometres with an average gradient of 7.5%, with the last 500 metres even rising to more than 10%. This finish is ideally suited for explosive riders, the so-called puncheurs.

Along the way, bonus seconds can be earned at the intermediate sprint and at the finish. The stage offers opportunities for attackers who are good at short, steep climbs, but the classification riders will also have to be alert in this finale.
