Giro d'Italia 2025 - Prediction stage 14

Saturday May 24th 2025: Stage 13 - Treviso - Nova Gorica (140km, sprint)

The fourteenth stage of the Giro d’Italia is scheduled for Saturday 24 May, a 186-kilometre ride between Treviso and Nova Gorica. The route is largely flat and offers the sprinters an excellent opportunity to show themselves. The first 140 kilometres take you along straight, fast roads through the Veneto and Friuli, with the peloton riding parallel to the Adriatic coast at a considerable distance.

The profile only changes after entering Slovenia. Here the Goniace San Martino awaits, a climb of 3.6 kilometres at an average of 5.1%. This is followed by a local lap between Nova Gorica and the Italian Gorizia, where the riders have to climb the Saver twice, a short slope of 700 metres at 7.7%. After the second passage of this climb, there are still more than seven flat kilometres left to the finish.

Nova Gorica and Gorizia together form a border town where the Giro has finished before, but this year the Slovenian part is the setting for the finish. Despite the hills in the finale, the course seems tailor-made for a bunch sprint, although attackers can try to surprise in the final lap. The sprinter teams will do everything they can to position their fast men for victory.
