E3 Saxo Classic 2025 - Prediction
Wednesday 26 March 2025 • Previews
Friday March 28th 2025: Harelbeke - Harelbeke (208.8 km)
The E3 Saxo Classic largely follows the same course as in previous years: 208.8 kilometres and seventeen climbs, with the finish on the Stasegemsesteenweg in Harelbeke. The first half of the race is calm, with a few climbs and cobblestone sections. The race starts from the Oude Kruisberg. Climbs such as the Taaienberg, Eikenberg and Stationberg follow in quick succession.
The final starts on the Paterberg: 400 metres with a gradient of 12.9% over cobblestones. The Oude Kwaremont follows shortly afterwards. The last obstacles are the Karnemelkbeekstraat, Varent and Tiegemberg, after which there are still 21.6 kilometres to the finish. Last year the decision fell on the Paterberg, where Van der Poel attacked and Van Aert fell. Van der Poel eventually won solo. This year Pogacar is also participating again — two years ago he sprinted to third place behind winner Van Aert in Harelbeke.
