Classic Brugge-De Panne 2025 - Prediction
Tuesday 25 March 2025 • Previews
Wednesday March 26th 2025: Brugge - De Panne (195.6 km)
In the 195.6-kilometre Classic Brugge-De Panne, the riders will compete to succeed Jasper Philipsen, who won in different ways in the past two years: in 2023 via a mass sprint, and in 2022 after a breakaway in the echelons.
The race traditionally starts on the Markt in Bruges and leads via Veurne to a 42.9-kilometre circuit around De Panne, which is ridden three times. De Moeren, known for its open plains, remains the place where echelons can form — if the wind is strong enough.
Since the race became a one-day classic in 2018, sprinters such as Elia Viviani, Dylan Groenewegen, Sam Bennett, Tim Merlier and Jasper Philipsen have won. Only Yves Lampaert (2020) and Philipsen (2022) took advantage of echelon chaos for a late attack.
