Dwars door Vlaanderen 2025 - Prediction

Woensdag 2 april 2025: Roeselare - Waregem (250,3 km) 

Dwars door Vlaanderen is a race through Flanders of 184.2 kilometres and contains 10 hills and 7 cobbled sectors. The main part of the race is south of Oudenaarde, the final will be around Waregem.

In the first 70 kilometres of the race, the riders have time to get up to speed. After the start in Roeselare, they cycle via Waregem to Oudenaarde. That's where the race starts.

The largest part of Dwars door Vlaanderen takes place south of Oudenaarde. After the first passage through the area, the riders ride 85 kilometres through the hills. This starts with the Volkegemberg and the cobblestones of the Holleweg, after which they ride two laps with the Berg Ten Houte, Knokteberg-Trieu, Hotond and the cobblestones of the Mariaborrestraat.

Just before the passage through Oudenaarde, the Eikenberg awaits and then the road to Waregem follows. Via the Nokereberg, the final circuit starts with two 800-metre cobblestone sectors on the Herlegemstraat. The first time 6.7 kilometres before the finish and the second time after the climb on the Waregemsestraat, the other side of the Nokereberg.

Last year, Matteo Jorgenson won. He escaped from a leading group with Tiesj Benoot, Jonas Abrahamsen, Stefan Küng, Dries De Bondt and Joshua Tarling in the last 7 kilometers and crossed the finish line solo.
