The final stage of the Giro d’Italia 2025 traditionally concludes in Rome. After a relaxed start, with the peloton riding a symbolic lap through Vatican City to greet the new Pope, the riders head towards the coast at Lido di Castel Fusano. Here they can enjoy the view of the sea for a while before the route leads back to the heart of the Italian capital.

Once back in Rome, the famous final circuit awaits, which is covered several times. This course is ideal for sprinters: wide roads, a few bends and a flat finish make it a classic for fast men. The finale takes place amidst the impressive Roman monuments, which creates a unique atmosphere and a beautiful backdrop for the denouement of this tour.

Along the way, there are still bonus seconds to be earned at an intermediate sprint and at the finish, which means that small shifts in the rankings are still possible at the last moment. However, this day is mainly about the honour of the stage victory and celebrating the overall winner.

The expectation is that the sprinter teams will keep up the pace and that everything will end in a bunch sprint. For the classification riders, it is mainly a matter of reaching the finish unscathed and securing their place in the final classification. The Giro d’Italia 2025 will thus conclude in style in the Eternal City.
