Sunday May 25th 2025: Stage 15 - Fiume Veneto - Asagio (219km, GC)

On Sunday 25 May, the peloton will face one of the toughest stages of this Giro d’Italia. The fifteenth stage, from Fiume Veneto to Asiago, is 219 kilometres long and is full of climbing. Early in the stage, the riders will be put to the test with the vicious Muro di Ca’ del Poggio, a short but steep climb that will immediately put their legs to the test.

After the first part of the route, the long climb to Monte Grappa, one of the most famous mountains in the north of Italy, follows. This climb is over 25 kilometres long, with an average gradient of almost 6%. Here, the favourites for the classification can seriously test each other and there may be major differences. The long descent that follows offers little time to recover, because in the second part of the stage, another steep climb awaits: the Dori. This slope is over 16 kilometres long and has an average gradient of 5.5%.

After the top of the Dori, it is almost thirty kilometres to the finish in Asiago, with a rolling profile and a few short climbs. This final phase is ideal for attackers, but GC riders must also remain alert until the end. The arrival in Asiago is familiar territory for the Giro and has produced heroic battles in the past. With the tough climbs and the difficult finish, this stage can play a decisive role in the battle for pink.
