Serious climbing on the first Friday of the 2023 Giro with a climb to Gran Sasso (2.135 meter altitude). The final climb is in two seteps, first 13.5km at 6% to Calascio and afterwards almost 22km at 4% gradient. The final 4.5 kilometer averages 8.2%, the part were the strongest riders will make a difference. Will be a first real GC-battle?
