We thought, let's ask ChatGPT about the start-interviews before Ronde van Vlaanderen 2024. Should be possible, right? Our reporter Chat took the microphone and asked the main contenders about their plans and expectations. Let's see on Sunday if Chat is right. Enjoy our start-interviews for Ronde van Vlaanderen 2024!

Mathieu van der Poel: "The victory in the E3 Saxo Classic and the second place in Gent-Wevelgem give me a lot of confidence. I feel strong and the team is fully behind me. We have a clear plan and I hope we can execute to perfection. As a two-time winner, I know the roads here, but every Ronde is unique and it remains a challenge to be at the top spot. I am looking forward to racing and will give everything for a third victory."

Wout van Aert: "This year I really put everything into Ronde van Vlaanderen. It is a race that I have wanted to win for so long and it feels like everything is now falling into place. The extra altitude camp has done me good and I feel stronger than ever before. Christophe's (Laporte, red.) absence is of course a loss for the team, but we have a strong strategy and I believe in our chances. Third place in the E3 Saxo Classic was encouraging, but now it's time for the real work. I'm here to win."

Mads Pedersen: "After the victory in Gent-Wevelgem I feel fantastic and motivated. Beating Mathieu in the sprint was a huge boost for my self-confidence. Our team, Lidl-Trek, has proven this spring that we are among the best and I believe that we have a strong chance in Ronde van Vlaanderen. We have a strong team and I know we will support each other perfectly. I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in this legendary race."

Jasper Stuyven: “This spring I feel really strong and the results show that. Of course, as part of Lidl-Trek, our aim is always to perform as a team, and with Mads in excellent form, we have several cards to play in the Tour of Flanders. There are some strategies we are working on that could certainly cause surprises, but I can't elaborate too much on them yet. It is clear that we have a strong team and I am ready to play my role and to fight for a top result."

Matteo Jorgenson: "The switch to Visma-Lease a bike has worked out fantastic and winning in Paris-Nice was a dream come true. For the Ronde van Vlaanderen it is clear that Wout is our leader, and I am here to support him in any way I can He has shown incredible focus and preparation this season, and I truly believe he has the ability to win. My role is to ensure he is in the best position to do that."

Matej Mohoric: "This season has been pretty solid so far, but I know I have more in me. As leader of Bahrain in the Ronde van Vlaanderen, I feel the pressure to perform, but it's good pressure. I'm here to to improve on my best result and I feel the form is there. Of course, the attention is on guys like Van Aert and Van der Poel, and that's understandable. But in a race like this, anything can happen, and I'm ready to to seize every opportunity."

Jasper Philipsen: "After winning Milan-San Remo with the help of Mathieu, it is now my turn to give something back. We have a strong bond and I know how important the Tour of Flanders is for him. It is clear: I am here to support Mathieu in any way possible. He has proven to be one of the best riders in the world and I believe that together we can achieve success again. It is an honor to ride alongside him and I will give everything to to help him win."
