Sunday May 31st – Giro d’Italia 2026 stage 21: Rome → Rome (131 km)
The final stage of the 2026 Giro d’Italia is a flat circuit race through Rome. The stage starts in the EUR district and heads north toward the historic centre. The opening section uses wide, straight roads with no elevation changes.
A local circuit follows in central Rome. The lap includes several corners and short straights, but no technical features that disrupt the rhythm. The roads are mostly wide and flat.
The finale runs past the Colosseum and onto the Via dei Fori Imperiali. The final few hundred metres rise slightly, though the profile remains suited to a bunch sprint.
The route is designed for sprinters, with a predictable run‑in and a clear finish line in the heart of Rome.
