Vuelta 2023 - The route

The Vuelta 2023 starts on Saturday, August 26th, with a short team time trial in Barcelona and finishes on Sunday, September 17th, with a sprint in Madrid. There will be a team time trial, 4 to 5 sprint opportunities, an individual time trial, and a whopping 9 (!) uphill finishes. Most notably, the stages to the Tourmalet and the feared Angliru stand out. Already in the 1st week, there are 3 uphill finishes, along with a finish just after a Category 1 climb.
